Volvo Recall for Defective Airbags

Volvo is recalling cars across 80 countries for defective airbags. The airbags had defective wiring that could prevent airbags in the vehicles from deploying. The models affected are the S80, S80L, S60, V70, XC70 and XC60. The Volvo recall affects nearly 10,000 vehicles. This is following the announcement that Volvo recalled 13,500 S80L cars sold in China for leaking steering hoses that made the vehicles steering difficult to control. There were also reports of the power-steering fluid leaking which could potential cause a heated engine to start a fire. Both problems can be repaired by authorized repair shops.

Consumers were advised that repairs will be made free of charge.
